Why Neko

This one is personal. Early scanning found my mother's lung cancer in time for her to be treated. I know first hand what preventative care gives a family, and I believe everyone should have access to it. Society is simply better when people are healthy.

I also know where I do my best work: purpose driven, early stage, high velocity, a mission that matters. Neko is overhauling what people believe a health check can be, and building something better in its place. I would love to help build it.

Hi Neko, I'm Ashley. I have been following you for a while and I am so excited to finally have found a role that is a great fit for us both!

For me Neko is exactly the organisation I want to join: a purpose driven, early stage industry disrupter with a chance for me to impact how we work and grow for years to come.

0:19

From a personal perspective, I am a huge believer in preventative care. Early scanning detected my mother's lung cancer and enabled her to get it treated before it became life threatening.

0:29

What can I bring? Well, I have spent the last 15 years building programmes, bridging information gaps and enabling people to deliver high quality work in high velocity environments.

0:39

I have a passion for operational excellence and I know how to simplify and systemise information flows so dispersed organisations can deliver quickly.

0:47

I am quick to build relationships, get to the core of the problem, and create repeatable structures for success.

0:53

As you'll see from my resume, and hopefully further during the interview process, I have a proven track record of helping teams thrive and I would love to bring that to Neko. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

04

The plan

This role governs what flows in and operationalises what goes out. Here is how I would approach the first twelve months, given what I know now.

Months 1 — 2

Listen and map

A clear-eyed audit of how information reaches clinical teams today: the gaps, the overlaps, the friction. Spend time with clinicians, and build the leadership relationships the intake model will stand on.

Months 2 — 4

Design the intake model and pilot it

How requests are submitted, evaluated, sequenced and approved, with decision criteria stakeholders can trust and an escalation path for urgent communications. Pilot with one team, refine with their feedback.

Months 4 — 6

Make it the norm

With leadership endorsement, roll the model out across every team that touches clinical staff. Stand up the centralised view so nothing lands uncoordinated, and report on intake volume, compliance and what needs to evolve.

Months 6 — 12

Operationalise and measure

One global clinical comms programme: a single source of truth, the right channels and formats for a non-desk workforce, repeatable templates, and clinic leads equipped to make it their own. Measured on comprehension, consistency, engagement and reduction in operational noise.
